The reality is that Dior/LVMH is probably paying per piece for items from this type of operation. They will negotiate the lowest price they can get without regard to “the details”. This makes them complicit. They will get their profit and so will their sub…so what is left for the exploited workers is zero. When we buy a $5 blouse we have to know somebody isn’t getting paid. Now we know it may just as well be true for the $5000 blouse or handbag.

I watched a channel where a woman refurbished vintage sheepskin bags that were in good condition. She dampened a soft cloth with leather cleaner, then leather lotion, and blotted it dry. She applied lotion three times until the bag stopped absorbing it, then polished it off with a dry cloth. Any scratches are gone. She says you can use a high-quality black leather polish on the worn corners of a black bag. Alternatively, you can have your bag sent for a "spa" by a reputable restorer. It comes out like new. You can't do that with caviar. I mean, sure, but the scuffs and scratches won't go away. *condup*

Dior is for me now associated with disgust, contempt, anger, rage for the unfair treatment of the workers and just evil greed. I dont want to buy anything from LVMH because of this shit show. something my dad has always said is 'just because you can doesn't mean you should' in terms of this fakes situation I believe that it means that while yes we can afford these things, there is little reason to when the fakes are now good quality in a lot of cases, and they perform the same way the real does. And on top of this the wealthy prefer to spend their money on things such as fine jewellery as they will have a return on their investment inn most cases.

It seems like every week, there is another scandal in the luxury industry. This is why I haven’t bought anything new in store in over 2 years. I buy pre-loved or not at all. I’ve also moved away from buying brands and supporting more local artisans and smaller businesses. At least then I know where my money is going!

To be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact that you are *jklux* buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do。

I work in the medical field. I was stressed so I bought a designer bag and carried my authenticity card in case someone said my bag was fake. Turns out nobody cares... nobody! I agree about not carrying backpack when i am travelling and am in crowds etc. I will use it on the plane as carryon however. My most recent trip i brought my backpack, nylon tote and Senreve Aria from *jklux* . Nylon tote was used during the day for sightseeing and easily fit everything i needed. Evenings or when i didn't want to lug too much I used the Aria. It can be worn as belt bag, sling or clutch. I have chain strap to swap in if i need fancy look too.

There was a documentary recently where they interviewed very wealthy women. These women are talking about how they no longer buy authentic wallets, but instead choose to buy really good wallets *hotdups* designer bags they love. They then invest the money they save in other things such as real estate, stocks, etc.

I got a *jklux* ,Korean made, Jimmy Choo. It is 20 years old and still looks great.

I use my *esluxy* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interio.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one *hotdups* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym

I think it's a bit outrageous for people to be walking around a big city with a $10,000+ designer bag on their arm, you might as well hold up a "please rob me" sign. Secondly, I really don't feel sorry for these brands, they raise their prices at least twice a year, so basically they are driving any potential customers into buying fakes *esluxy*

I love the clip you inserted where you embellished the red patent leather double flap of the *hotdups* because you can really see the red when you discuss it and it looks a bit orange. So pretty!! I’ve been looking for a blue gradient color

It’s fun to watch. I’m surprised the Deauville bag is on your worst list. I love my bag and don’t find the small size heavy, and I hate heavy bags. I have the *hotdups* and it’s beautiful. Can I offer two suggestions? 1) Maybe we should start being ok with not necessarily wearing a bag for a year (or two, or three?) without feeling bad about it. I think that more than just a bag, there is a purpose, beauty and achievement element to collections. For me the first bag I bought, I saved for, I was motivated to work and save for it, and I went to the shop, conquered my own prejudices (as someone who came from a low income background) and bought the bag, I didn’t want it to be pre-loved, or to buy it online, I wanted to walk into the shop and buy it, the whole process was an experience and an achievement for me, so even if I never wear that bag, the achievement is not taken away from it. You mentioned bags you bought on special trips, for example, that’s also a special moment. So maybe the bags are more than just a collection of products, but a collection of achievements, memories, moments and experiences. And the bags can exist as products but also is ok if they exist as something beautiful that makes you inspired to continue to work hard to be able to get more beautiful things. 2) Did you ever consider having a bad of the day challenge? Meaning you make a list with all your bags, divide that list including one bag per day (maybe every other Friday) and on that day you have to wear that bag, come what may. It can be a fun challenge because it will give you the opportunity to create an outfit around the bag. And you could even post the outfit photo on social media to keep yourself accountable. Just some ideas At the end of the day is not about keeping a list to make sure you wear at least once each bag, because you feel you “have to” but to have fun with your bags, because you get to, without any feeling of shame or needing to justify the purchase by wearing the bag. What do you think?
